Bea has been playing with the computer (again). Consequently LJ, the default page and half a dozen other things are now in a much smaller font size. I don't know how she does it. However, explanations of how to change it back (which I assume will include a reboot) appreciated. I've already checked the "Display" stuff and it doesn't seem to have what I want.

Parent and Toddler group this morning was a bit of a surprise. It was Femmy's (not quite sure how his name is spelt) birthday party and the usual state of affairs is that Bea eats and eats until I drag her away from the table whilst Ryan has half a biscuit, gets bored and then retreats to a quiet corner with a toy. However, today, Ryan ate more food than he usually gets through in a week. And afterwards he was playing with the other kids (no, really!). I was pleased. And stunned.

Afterwards I took them to Tesco (our usual, daily, visit) and, on arriving home, our "Bag for Life" (the life of what exactly?) split in a new way. The handle came off. Quick thinking (OK, mostly because I still had hold of the other handle) saved me from littering my shopping across the doorstep. However, I think I prefer the old fashioned way of dying where all the holes appear in the bottom. Slowly.

Sorry, that's for IE, don't know whether it works elsewhere.

Yep, that works too. Which also explains how she did it in the first place.

I did it a number of times by accident myself before I figured the trick - it's made more complicated by the fact some webpages have the font size defined, so it doesn't always /seem/ to work...

And Opera. Wow. That's cool.

Firefox too, but not Mozilla 1.6.

Er... web browser? In Mozilla it's >View>Text Zoom>100% which is also linked to CTRL plus & minus... But I've no idea what browser you guys use ;-)

Firefox also has ctrl+0 to set it to the default, which is nice if you're curious to know what the default is.

the life of what exactly?

The life of a [livejournal.com profile] lathany, if it's your bag.

It's a conceptual bag, though - in order to maintain lifespan you have to take it to Tesco and exchange it (free of charge) for a new one. The bag is dead. Long live the bag!

a new one

Which might not be as good as the old one. secretrebel resurrected one recently, and it came back a less good shape (wider and not so tall), and I think slightly smaller. My theory is that they're going to rob everyone of their original 10p by gradually making the bags smaller and smaller until they disappear.

I keep missing the butterfly one. That design is worth it, even if I get a smaller bag in the first place.

I didn't realise anyone cared about the designs.

I predict a 5 quid iBag by Q2 2006. With a little pocket in it to slot your iPod into.

I sort of knew that. I just feel the name is innappropriate. It'd be better to call it the Reincarnation Bag or something.

No, cos then you'd get characters wearing it on their heads during combat, or putting dead familiars in and hoping...

It's a bag thing, certainly.

It's clear the designer of the "bag for life" thought that their main customer base would be hamsters. With heart disease.
