Loves and Hates from Ryan and Beatrice

verlaine's LJ this morning made me think that the twins could do something similar.
I don't like :
Mobile Phones without "Twinkle "Twinkle". After all, "Old Macdonald" just isn't in the same category.
Roundabouts. And high swings, seesaws and other moving objects. I like to be in control of my body, thank you. And in control of everything else.
Sunlight. Particularly in my eyes. Uggggh.
Tidying up. If I've spread the bricks all over the floor it's because I want them there. I know how to put them away; I simply choose not to.
Brum on CBeebies. I know the whole "the car saves the day" thing is suppose to be a moral lesson for us toddlers to understand, but it's so preachy. Plus all the characters are one-dimensional (good or bad; there is no middle ground). And have you heard the music ?
I like :
Teletubbies. Particularly the "Little Bo Peep" episode. Even the sheep get to sing (even if it is just "We are the sheep, we are the sheep, we are the sheep, we are"). And "The Grimy Show" episode of "The Shiny Show" was cool too.
Getting wet. Bathtime rocks. Pity I ever have to leave it.
Computer mice. But they need to be reachable by toddlers.
Mummy. Mummy is great and the grannies are called "Grandmothers" for a reason. The rest of the wussy substitutes however... think I can't spot the real thing ?
Twinkle Twinkle. The most underrated song ever. It should be used more widely. Particularly to brighten up that grim News 24 thing that adults watch.
I don't like :
People who play the same tune on a mobile over and over. And, whilst we're on the subject, when do I get my own ?
Rollercoaster height restrictions. Apparently I'm too short. What rubbish.
Nature. The bits that are inedible, anyway. And why would I want to stand on grass ?
The Vacuum Cleaner. Why do some people think they're justified in hating spiders, then laugh at me when I run from The V.C. ? Have you heard the awful noise it makes ? Have you seen how it rips pieces up from the floor ? And guess who wins the V.C. vs the House Spider ? I'm terrified and everyone else should be too.
Fab Lab on CBeebies. That giant dog is just way creepy. I prefer vacuum cleaners.
I like :
The Tweenies. I can make Mummy say all the names. Over and over.
Getting wet. It's about the only thing that HE and I agree on.
The computer sound system. It's so wonderfully re-programmable. In so many different ways.
Aye-er. Who needs long words ?
BBC News 24's colour scheme. I have crayons in those shades.
Finally got that out of my system... back to lunch.

Date: 2004-01-16 06:19 am (UTC)I think Ryan and Bea took it a bit more seriously than I did though.
