When [livejournal.com profile] bateleur came in this evening Beatrice indicated, in her usual unsubtle manner, than she wanted something else to eat ("But Mummy only fed me three meals today !"). [livejournal.com profile] bateleur gave her a biscuit. Then, to make things fair, he got out another biscuit for Ryan. I then got the job of giving this second biscuit to Ryan.

Beatrice ate her biscuit. In record time. Ryan, however, was delighted with his biscuit. It was a present from Mummy and, consequently, ended up clutched in his left paw as he continued marauding around the lounge. He's like that with all his treasured toys. However, having finished off her own snack, Beatrice soon realised that Ryan happened to have a biscuit of his own that he didn't appear to be eating. She concluded that this meant he obviously didn't want it.

The result was the rather comedy scenario of Ryan touring the lounge with his biscuit, followed closely by Beatrice who was coveting said biscuit.

It's moments like this that make parenthood worth while...

I thought it was your children keeping you in the manner to which you have become acustomed (and explaining the latest technology), that made parenthood worth while.

At least, my parents keep claiming this ;-)

What are those ants that follow one another, even around the rim of a teacup? All you need are a couple more babies and you could have a perpetual baby motion machine. Something to try at a creche.
