Today was a rare occasion - I cooked the twins some meat for lunch.

The meat in question was beef mince and it was cooked with a small can of tomatoes and some seasoning (pepper and oregano). Beatrice, as ever, ate it all. Ryan took a mouthful... reacted... recovered... then managed about two-thirds of it. Ryan isn't a big meat fan. The problem is not the taste, but more that meat can't be mashed as smoothly as vegetables (Yuck ! There are lumps Mummy !). Plus it isn't exactly known for its high sugar content. It's possible that Ryan will turn out vegetarian with a sweet tooth, we'll have to wait and see.

I also went clothes shopping for the two of them.

This was a result of the extremely hot weather; they have a pair of shorts each but it seemed prudent to buy them some more, plus some other summery clothes. The biggest problem was finding Bea some shorts that weren't pink and flowery. I was about to give up when I spotted that a rack of denim skirts also included some denim shorts. Additionally, I managed to find a top for her that should fit over her huge head for some time to come. I also bought her a second pair of purple jeans (although more of a pinky-purple and 3/4 length) and bought Ryan some "zip-off" trousers, but I'm having trouble operating the zip-off feature.

Also I enjoyed food shopping in Tesco. I would have preferred to find their "chocolate pots" in stock, but the air-conditioning was enough to prompt an extended stay. I hate the heat. Whenever it goes above 22 degrees C I wilt, and right now it's on 30.
