In what is effectively my social outing of the weekend (and possibly the month) I went to give blood this afternoon.
For the first time I had a late afternoon appointment. This meant that I had only two people after me and got to see the staff start to pack up. I got through the interview bit quickly (no problem with the iron content for once) and then onto the chair. The woman who looked after me was very good, and explained what she was doing throughout. This was the first time someone had explained that they put pressure on the area at the end to check you actually have stopped bleeding.
I miss the hot drinks, but still had a welcome Orange Club.
