The Big Sheep
Aug. 15th, 2015 09:10 pmI have just come back from a week-long family holiday in Devon with both sets of (grand)parents. We were out and about a fair amount as most of the week had decent weather.
One of the places we visited was The Big Sheep as it was fairly close by. This was a theme park/show that focussed on sheep.

This was a photo of The Sheep Show which covered the different types of sheep on the farm (there were more sheep to arrive, but this was my best picture). The man who presented was excellent at mixing description with humour.

There weren't only sheep there. One of the attractions was the Duck Trials when you got to see Blue the dog herding ducks around toddlers, primary school kids and their parents.

The highlight of the day (which we waited around for) was the Sheep Race (with knitted jockeys).
We also saw Horse Whispering, Sheep Shearing, Milking (although, disappointingly, with a fake cow) and the Sheepdog Trials.
Overall a good - and weird - day out.
