bateleur and I went to Kew Gardens for cake and scenery.
There were a number of carefully designed flower beds near the Victoria Gate entrance.
I have always liked the statues around there.
Also, as there's a "Japanese Star" Festival tomorrow and Thursday, there are lanterns all over the place.
Plus the cake was good. We went for the old favourites (Walnut and Coffee forbateleur and Rich Chocolate for me) but they have introduced a Battenburg cake, a strawberry and pistachio one and also a new muffin flavour (which I now can't remember).
