Whenever I climb into the playpen now, Ryan and Beatrice fight for attention. If Bea gets to sit in my lap, Ryan climbs on top of her. If Ryan sits in my lap, Bea starts banging beakers together for attention. Not to mention that it is very difficult to find a large enough patch in the playpen to sit in - what with two babies and all their toys.

In other news, I have finally begun to edit my novel. Today I wrote a new chapter 1 (short), edited chapters 2 and 3 and decided I would need an additional chapter 17 (which will probably be chapter 18). I also plan to write a couple more short stories whilst the editing is in progress, but having just finished one I will leave it for a little while.

Roleplaying at the two flats was a lot of fun, but

bateleur has already given a pretty full account of this. One of the occasional problems with having a partner on LJ is that when they've given a long edit on an event you have both attended, it removes any motivation for writing a similar entry.
