Chuff Chuff, Cough Cough
Mar. 4th, 2005 06:47 pmRyan was bought a train set for Xmas. This set included some little engines and carriages that had magnets on each end so that they could be stuck together in a long line. This seemed straightforward enough. Occasionally, when I had the energy, I would build a circle of track and encourage the duo to run little lines of train around it.
However, I got back into the kitchen yesterday afternoon to discover a line of engines and carriages all hanging from the metal child gate. They looked like a long, metal fringe. Ryan may not talk much, but he can dangle engines with the best of them.
This week was also the first birthday party for the twins. The third they'd been invited to and the first they could actually make. There was a soft play area (with a slide!) and a bouncy castle (all indoors) and then a big birthday tea and little party bags to take home. The mother who held the party has something of a reputation for doing a good job of such things and certainly the whole event was slickly organised, timed and executed.
Health-wise, we're all ill. I'm fed up with being ill. I've got a sniff, a cough and a temperature. Worst still, I'm having to run around after two smaller, grumpier things also with sniffs, coughs and temperatures. Having kids can really suck.

Date: 2005-03-05 01:44 pm (UTC)(Fran did a photo-shoot for a stripper yesterday. The photos were for the stripper's book, 'G-Strings and Sympathy', and she kept her clothes on. Sounds like an interesting afternoon.)

I know next to nothing about photo shoots. How long do they usually take and how many photos tend to be accepted/published/etc afterwards?

Usually people are pleased and buy quite a lot.

You could always seal them off a-la twins -in-a-bubble, then they wouldn't give you bugs, but you'd also miss those cuddles..

Date: 2005-03-06 10:09 pm (UTC)It wasn't as bad as flu, or I wouldn't have managed! I'm still more than happy to accepted the sympathy, though.
Sorry to hear you've had such a horrible week yourself.

It was. Not to mention, visually spectacular.
