Planning for the autumn
Jan. 10th, 2005 02:24 pmTo change my "return to work" date, I have to give them warning in writing at least six months beforehand. So, this morning, I was in the middle of a call to personnel explaining my situation (specifically to find out what had to be in the letter) when our telephone died. Now, our telephone has not been a particularly happy soul for some months but, as this has mostly coincided with working being done next door, we've not worried too much about it. Our attitude seemed to be justified when, after the work finished, the problems cleared up. However, this lunchtime, it went down in a pretty impressive fashion and, whilst I can get it back about half the time, it's obviously on its last legs. Thus
bateleur has ordered one and it should be installed later this week.
In other news, twins and rain isn't a good combination. They have to be kept indoors where they get bored easily. I'm hoping the weather goes back to cold but clear by tomorrow.
