So, it appears that holly does get its own window after all.
bateleur's birthday meal last night was well received (I don't often cook any non-simple dishes, so was pleased it worked out OK), the wine was excellent and there's still plenty of chocolate cake left. The twins will get to try it today and I'm confident of it going down well (particularly if I call it "muffin").
The cold outside came as something of a shock this morning (although I still much prefer it to being overheated in the summer). I find it easier to believe that it's going to be freezing when there's a clear sky than when there's cloud around. We wheeled the twins down to the playground to make up for the lack of playgroup, but we didn't stay long (not least because Ryan soaked his trousers after I failed to spot a puddle on the slide).
Another twenty-four hours and then we'll be off for the food, luxury and babysitting services of Cambridge.
