Gnosticism (and maybe also Kabbalah-related stuff?) mentions Sophia, a female angel embodying wisdom. So that's an early precedent of at least one girl angel, if not from an orthodox source.
They won't appear in Muslim art for obvious reasons, and I know nothing about Muslim writing.
