This morning, as I was preparing for playgroup, I spotted a fire engine across the road. It was still there when I returned from taking the kids to St. Dunstans and only disappeared a couple of hours (or perhaps more) after it arrived. Being a nosy sort I looked at the houses and was dis relieved to see no outside signs of damage. However I spotted that one of them had all their windows open (today being the coldest morning of the autumn) and decided it must have been the unlucky customer. I wondered what the problem had been.

This afternoon a little leaflet dropped through the door. Safe electrics from the London Fire Brigade. That'd be it then.

Oh, and the twins thought that the fire engine was great.
