Not quite random pair of questions
Sep. 20th, 2004 03:34 pmDoes anyone out there remember :
1. What they got for their third birthday?
2. What they wanted for their third birthday?
I've got two set of grandparents to coach into appropriate (and small dimensioned) present buying quite apart from wanting ideas on my own behalf.
Cheers.

I wanted a thimble for my third birthday. However I was very upset when I instead received a paper-clip.

Date: 2004-09-20 02:57 pm (UTC)- a large office-grade Sellotape dispenser in institutional blue
- three pairs of Aertex knickers with little bows
The latter caused me to shriek, in horror and outrage, "PANTS!" My parents nearly died of embarrassment and my aunt, whose present it was, never gave me a present again.

Date: 2004-09-20 03:00 pm (UTC)I think I can safely say, that option never crossed my mind (until now).
my aunt, whose present it was, never gave me a present again.
And there was much rejoicing?!

Date: 2004-09-20 07:13 pm (UTC)Hmmmm, I do remember it was about that age that I got some really cool bath toys from my Uncle Andy and Aunt Irene - a floaty oil-rig with a floaty helicopter : ) ...Ian Scarry books are also good... as are Asterix and Tintin books, though that might be for next year... and anything to do with Sesame Street (except too much Elmo)... and Bubbles... and Balloons... Ice Cream's nice... thing you can wave in the air with one hand going "voowooamm!"... stuff that makes cool noises when you press buttons... tapes of all the Playschool songs... Winnie the Pooh stuff... being allowed to chant "yogi, yogi, yogi!" then sneezing the Yogurt all over the walls...
Dammit. I wanna be a Toddler again! *stamps foot and pouts*

Date: 2004-09-21 06:56 am (UTC)Ryan loves cars and planes. Don't know about helicoptors (the name's a bit harder). But it sounds like his sort of thing.
