Angel Review

The last but one episode!
I was somewhat staggered by the sudden change of direction and pace with Power Play. All good stuff, I must add, and I didn't think it was too fast (although a few more hints in the episodes since You're Welcome would have been a bonus). In fact it puts the pre-final snail's pace episodes of Buffy to shame.
There were some great lines (although I'm suddenly unable to remember an example!) and everyone got involved for once. Nice to see Lindsay, Nina and Drogyn again, along with the various bads of the season. Angel's conversion wasn't believable, but then I never thought it was supposed to fool the viewer. His use of the glamour was good - although I was briefly wondering how the non-magic-user Angel could suddenly make words appear in Wesley's book. On the other hand, I'm thrown every time he does something in that line (starting with his destruction spell in Revelations from season 3 of Buffy).
And, best of all? I'm dying to see how they sign off.
