lathanyThe Threads of Magic by Alison Croggon is a children's book (age 9+) set in a fantasy world. I was struck by the number of issues it had - too many narrators, narrators and threads that weren't really part of the story, so many coincidences and a lack of reason for some events (such as how it all started). And yet... it's a gripping story with a great concept.
