Advent tidying

To say that the house looks tidy would be an exaggeration.
However, it is a definite improvement. Dom has put up coat hooks behind the front door and I have sorted the various piles of paper that have lived on the bottom steps. Lounge-wise various stacks of boxes and papers have been sorted and the mantlepiece and bookcase top have been cleaned. We are also going to, finally, get rid of the various big items (printer, rocking chair, baby bouncer seats) which are no longer in use. Given that I am now in the house most of the time, I feel that the downstairs looks better.
Additionally, I have assembled the Christmas tree. Not the five foot high "Ryan tippable" tree, but the two foot tree which can sit on top of the bookcase. OK, it is a token effort - but I like putting up Christmas decorations.
Finally, the Clans story has been taken out of storage and I may even sort it out next year; in between writing other things.
