We had to do some Terence at school… suffice to say that comedy has moved on a bit since then. And his plays were basically just translations of Greek ones anyway.

Interestingly (possibly!) though he was African by birth -- he was captured as a slave, taken to Rome, and subsequently freed when his writing talents became apparent.
