A stocking

Walking from the office to St James Tube I saw nine police vans. It's just under a five minute walk so felt like a huge a huge number of police. It's close to New Scotland Yard, though, which I guess is some of the reason.

I'm re-reading Harry Potter again as a sort of pre-Xmas easy reading on the train thing. Except, it's hard to judge how long the whole set will take and I'm nearly through book seven, but still have a good week to go. So I'm going to try The Red House Mystery by the Pooh author when Hallows ends.

I quite enjoyed The Red House Mystery, but then I'm a fan of the genre. I'd be interested to hear what you thought of the book.

He had an interesting - and perhaps slightly dated - set of rules for the perfect mystery.
