Back in the land of the living

The last couple of days have been horrible. But at least I seem to be recovering.
Sunday was mainly OK. I felt dizzy, but nothing more. It put me off doing much other than babies and web-browsing, but I just felt that it was down to lack of sleep (caused by screaming baby at 2am).
Monday was absolute hell. I couldn't walk in a straight line and I felt permanently sick. Every time I tried to stand up straight I started to throw up. By mid-morning, I was being sick without trying to stand up. By evening I was throwing up on an hourly basis, moving to half-hourly by 9pm. I felt sick lying down. The room spun if I shut my eyes. It was absolutely horrible. Dom had to do babies, and there was nothing I could do to help.
This morning I was still dizzy, but the sicky feeling was mostly gone. By 3pm I felt I could eat something. Fortunately it stayed down. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be almost back to normal.
I can now get back to the computer and read web pages and emails. I don't feel up to writing a suitably congratulatory response to Louise's announcement of her engagement (one of my staff from last year), but hopefully I'll manage something suitably eloquent tomorrow.
Plus I should be up to Fallen Star processing. With luck.

Date: 2002-10-09 04:43 am (UTC)A bit like morning sickness really - 'though compared to my "twins" morning sickness this would be like having enough sprogs to field a football team or two.
Dawn.

Date: 2002-10-09 04:54 am (UTC)Uh oh... sounds ominous!
Also sounds like a 24 hour virus, possibly affecting the inner ear. Dad mentioned last weekend that one of those was going round.

Date: 2002-10-09 08:37 am (UTC)I make a good chicken soup, if you need some. I can even make (seeks non-Yiddish term) matzo balls to go in the soup...
If you feel unwell again and chicken soup might help, let me know.
