Heroes season 3, episodes 21-23

Three more.

Summary (mostly a list of where everyone's now got to): Angela, Nathan, Peter, Claire and Bennet are in the Coyote Sands Cafe having met Alice and agreed they need to go back and revert to the secrecy tactic. They see Nathan/Sylar on television giving a speech. Hiro and Ando catch up with big Matt Parkman and unite him with his son. Matt has just ruined things for Danko with Elena. Danko and Sylar are now working together and Sylar has picked up shape-change. Mohinder has remained at Coyote Sands, unable to forgive himself (for what?). Noah and Sandra look permanently separated.

General comments: My main thought since last time is how much 1961 annoyed me because of its treatment of Nathan. Over the past three seasons we've seen pretty much every other hero beaten up and blamed for things that they did by accident or as an unexpected side-effect. However, when Nathan finally comes face-to-face with two of the people he deliberately arranged to have locked up (Peter and Mohinder) he gets Angela and Claire saying how he should be treated gently and they all need to pull together, blah, blah (and, whilst it was difficult to interpret Peter's behaviour in that episode as I don't think he ever said he forgave Nathan, I think they succeeded). I'm now hoping he gets his arse kicked before the end of the season. I think I want that even more than I want Sylar taken down. Otherwise, rather a dull trio of episodes. The flashback was interesting but not so fascinating that it needed to take over the episode. Hiro and Ando have had very dull baby duty and Matt's plot is about the only redeeming feature.

Continuity errors and other weirds: So Papa Suresh had that flat in 1961? Really? Err, no. Not based on season one stuff where he indicates that the dreams boy is his first real hero. As for Sylar suddenly transporting to the roof of the building... he doesn't have a relevant ability afaik. And, it's not like he's short of abilities that they have to give him flight. Or teleport.

Good/OK things:
- Matt's revenge on Danko.
- Finding out about Deveaux's power.
- The church as a location.
- The shapechanger.

Bad/less OK things:
- Angela and Claire's treatment of Nathan.
- 1961 in general.
- That Sylar has yet another power added to his repertoire.
- That Danko and Sylar would join up.

Exactly, as I remember it he *really* didn't like the heroes. After spending a whole season telling Bennet that the 'one of us, one of them' approach wasn't going to work why change now?
