lathanyWe reached the end of season 1. I thought it was OK, but not interesting enough to want to continue watching on my own.
The trouble was that there really wasn't much plot. The plot that did exist was spread very thin. In the double-episode finish, the writers wanted to bring in various meaningful characters - good guys to kill off and at least one more bad guy for us to want to kill. The sad thing being, there was a whole empty series beforehand which they could have populated with these beings. Also, the demon from the season opener doesn't die by the end - always really annoying. It's something shows are really bad at - you need to get rid of the season opener problem by the season close At The Latest. A cross-season bad should be on top of season stuff. Really.
On the plus side, it did improve as it went on. And no other episode was quite as awful as Bugs. Plus it did have plot in the last three episodes. Not to mention that the leads are definitely eye-candy. But it isn't something I want to fill any more evenings with.
