Side Effects

We have just watched the film Side Effects this evening. I'm going to try to review it, although I am finding this rather more difficult than for most films. The shortest version is - this is a watchable film, with a good cast (Jude Law and Rooney Mara are the two leads); I recommend it. The longer version is that this is a film that starts off being almost documentary-like about a wife whose husband gets out of prison only for her to suffer depression and want/need drugs to combat that and put their lives back on track. She goes to see a doctor and he prescribes her some pills... with side effects. However, the film gradually metamorphoses into a somewhat different genre as events unfold. I enjoyed the story, thought the settings and filming were lovely and the soundtrack fitting.
