Not in Cambridge
Jan. 7th, 2005 10:22 amFor most of the post-university years of my life I tended to be in Cambridge for the 7th January. The reason? 'Cos it's my father's birthday and I would usually go back and wish him well. I would often take the day (usually attaching to the nearest weekend) off work and it was a good time to take - most other people would be stuck in post-Xmas holiday depression. Tonight, instead, I'll be ringing him. However I still feel as though I should abandon the twins at playgroup and jump on the next train.
Today also seems like a good time to do something creative. I have an almost-campaign which needs its preparation finishing, I have a joint game with
bateleur to write (he's made a lot of progress on his half), I have a new book to plan and a (very) short story to think of. Being awake and all, this seems like a good day for some progress.
