Pretty, but I prefer chocolate.

A certain Emily Marle was taken to the vet this morning by [livejournal.com profile] bateleur. She came home with a clean bill of health and some flea removal stuff (she's not got very many, but we decided better safe than sorry). Apparently she looks after herself well. I found this somewhat difficult to believe (after all, this is the cat that nearly set fire to herself walking too close to a candle) but it's nice to know all the same.

I've finally handed in the nursery forms (ie. application for Bea and Ryan to attend the nursery at the Edward Pauling School next academic year) and posted all my foreign cards. I've also bought a large supply of UK stamps so I can start on the UK cards.

Parent and Toddler group this morning was OK, but I felt rather sorry for Jo. Y'see three of us (with five kids, Jo's also got twins) go both to the Thursday Parent and Toddler group and to St. Dunstans playgroup. These two establishments are both running their Xmas parties on the same day. I had pre-decided (for a number of dull but practical reasons) to go to the Parent and Toddler one. The other parent (whose name I don't know) decided he would do the same. Jo had elected to go to the St. Dunstans one, however, which the other mothers were then trying to talk her out of. By the end of the morning, she had been persuaded to change her mind but didn't seem very happy about it. I wondered whether I should have also offered to go to St. Dunstans to give her support, but it occurred to me that taking my twins out of the Thursday group (there are only twelve children in total and one of them is out of the country) would make things worse not better.

Still feel sorry for her though.
