The twins are beginning to recover from their colds. Ryan is back to normal and Bea is looking distinctly happier. She's improving on her whole "teleporting" skill as well. She moved from the playpen cushion to the lounge door without me noticing or discovering how she managed it. She may not have crawling accomplished yet, but my guess is that she's an expert on slithering.

Outside it is snowing again. I enjoyed snow more before I owned a pushchair and twins. Consequently neither they or I have been out in it today. It just does not seem worth the hassle of socking and coating them just to push them around in the freezing cold for twenty minutes. Fortunately, I have discovered that the twins snakes (birthday presents from my parents) double as really good draft excluders. They are exactly the right length and fit snugly in the gap. I think it feels warmer in here already.

My main news of the day is that I have started my second book. Chapter one is far from complete but I have at least begun, which was the important point. The hardest decision I had to make was to name the protagonist. The trouble is, most of the female names which I like now belong to roleplaying characters of mine. The more ancient a game, the more able I am to use a name again (Miranda, for example - from Dom's Vampire game - will probably be a possibility for me soon). However the likes of Bethany, Maewen, Imogen and Caroline are too recent to be story character possibilities.

And, finally, Doom 2 (Hurt Me Plenty) is in progress. I have currently completed Downtown and am within The Inmost Dens. And I really hate Pain Elements.
