Melting snow and Shadow Hearts
Jan. 10th, 2003 11:16 amEver since Monday I have stayed indoors. The trouble with babies is that you have to dress them up to face the outside weather. Having to dress two babies to cope with ice and snow just is not worth it. Instead we have been watching the world turn white from in here - both Ryan and Beatrice were fascinated. Hopefully, the next time it snows in Feltham, they will be old enough to go out and play in it.
Ryan is becoming more and more mobile and also taller - meaning he can disrupt things which were previously out of reach. Consequently I have to keep a closer eye on him. He is happily unstacking a pile of videos as I type. Beatrice is also becoming more demanding, she wants to crawl and is consequently fed up at being stuck in the playpen all the time. Having just typed that, she's now trying to snooze.
My computer game of the moment is Shadow Hearts - lent to me by Dan. It is quite a lot of fun; the story is pretty interesting and the fights are non-trivial (although they do not involve that much strategy). It is a little like the Final Fantasy series, but made by someone different. I am currently on my way to Wales, having found out a little more about Roger Bacon.
In other news, I am planning book number two. I suspect I will launch into the first chapter before I totally finish getting my ideas together, but that may not be a bad thing.
