May. 2nd, 2002 01:53 pmAfter a morning of washing up and tidying, I packed the twins into their pushchair and headed for the local church. Not because I am church goer, but because it is the local polling station.
Getting the pushchair through the doors was impossible until one of the officials came and helped open up the second half of the double doors. As I was putting crosses in boxes, the only other voter left and a semi-circle of officials immediately appeared around Ryan and Beatrice. I explained who they were, when they were born and eventually their audience let me depart.
They're now back home waiting for Sarah (
lanfykins) and Paul to arrive.
