A is for Alligator and B is for Bull

The twins' room was an early call in the house packing plans. The reason being that they are safely away at the seaside with Granny Jo and J-J and so we reckoned that their room might be useful for storing boxes in. However, they have emptied their collection of alphabet finger-puppet animals all over the room so I have been collecting them up and working out which letters are missing.
It quickly became apparent that (almost) all the difficult letters were birds. These aren't always easy to identify and I'm having trouble working out what a light and dark blue one could possibly be. There is already a Flamingo, a Goose and a Quail and the missing letters are currently E, H, N, V and Y (I think). Sadly, I have suspicions that the remaining five puppets will not appear, so I may be forced to give up on this particular problem.
Notifying various authorities (and others) of our change of address has proved time consuming. It has resulted in two visits (bank and council tax), one letter (building society) and twelve phone calls. There's still a few left to do, but mostly we've cleared them. Plus I sorted out mail forwarding, so I'm hoping that should deal with any missed companies.
The actual packing is moving very slowly. Instead there has been a fair amount of chucking, sorting and dismantling. At least some of the furniture can be moved as is (eg. chests of drawers), so it's not as bad as it could be. And
bateleur discovered that dismantling the bunk beds was less arduous than previously feared.
Apart from the packing I have been Patchworking and playstationing respectively. Over in the Museum, Jewel is on page ten (well, strictly speaking, page eight) of a long conversation with Ernest (the Guide for the first five floors) which has ranged from the traitor Dr Davis to the Gods. With a few asides about Kalyndis and the damage that Doomshadow caused back in the Beta Test. I reckon we may be heading for a new thread maximum (anyone know what that is?) unless fate or a new arrival intervenes.
Final Fantasy X continues. I've defeated Ultima Weapon and Omega Weapon. I can also kill most of the species creations at the Training Arena. I'm nowhere near beating up the Dark Aeons yet, but making progress towards that goal. I'm also humming the main FFX tune. A lot.
Among my jobs, I've finally done the large pile of handwashing that's been building up at the bottom of the wash basket. This includes Ryan's sports day t-shirt which, according to
bateleur, he loves dearly. So at least he'll be happy about something in the new house.
Back to packing, I guess.
