The news of the day is that our new phone now works. Why it took so long to reach this stage is something I don't want to talk about.

Also, I've started the process to have Ryan's speech development assessed.

Tonight's OK, but we're busy tomorrow. I've got to take Ryan to the doctor (a 4:20pm appointment), but I'm around after that. When suits you?

How old is Ryan now? Apparently I barely spoke at all until I was 3, and then (as my mother would tell you) wouldn't shut up once I got started.

Also - seeing as my Xmas parcel finally did arrive, and wasn't destroyed by Evil customs officers (are you listening, Ste?), have you received your Xmas presents yet? Do they fit? I ask out of curiosity, mostly, because taking them back may be a bit of a problem, obviously!

Sort-of three. He was three on the 28th November (measuring by birth), but won't be three until the 24th February (measuring by due date - which is technically more accurate but not often used).

Bea's speech development was like that. Ryan can say things, but is very sparing with his words. If he can put across his meaning in one (or no) words and a few gestures, why use more speech?!
