Mistletoe
I wonder if holly will make a separate appearance; or whether the sprig in the Xmas pudding window counts?
The children's party at Mother and Toddler group this morning was a mixed success. Bea took one look at Father Christmas and then attached herself to my leg. She wouldn't let go until tempted by an exciting-looking present. Even then, there was obvious reluctance on her part. Ryan didn't do that, although whether indifference to Santa was an improvement is difficult to say. Certainly I think that the poor man was glad to see the back of my duo (although I later learned that he got much the same treatment from the others). Not a job I'd wish on anyone - having to be merry to small, tactless children. However, the food part went down very well. Beatrice cleaned up all the plates (until another mother started throwing the leftovers into the bin and I got her to do the same with Bea's plate) and then showed an unheard of indifference to her lunch.
Now I want a week of sleep.
