The Wheel of Fortune 6/10, The Hanged Man 7/10 and Death 8.5/10

The Tarot series is, sadly, discontinued and therefore is not described on the BPAL site.

The Wheel of Fortune

A review1 I found reads: "it’s the scent that I imagine Destiny of Neil Gaiman’s Endless would be scented. It’s a deep scent, and it seems like dark woods, mellow fruits and the dustiness of dried herbs. This scent is very hard to describe. It makes me feel somber and contemplative. I enjoy this perfume immensely."

Another one says: "This is a gorgeous scent, on me it started off smelling of lemon alcohol (if there was ever such a thing!) and now it's settled into a crisp floral scent which strongly reminds me of bubblegum of all things!"

In the bottle: This is somewhat citrus and light.

On the skin: Yes, rather faint citrus and, I think lily, tones. It's a bit dull for my tastes.

An hour later: Unmemorable and almost non-existent. Not for me.

The Hanged Man

First review1: "The scent is a little watery, like lotus or China rain, but it has something I can’t pinpoint in it too that makes it warmer and resinous."

Second review: "When I applied this I could smell tart apples, but within seconds a sweetness appeared, perhaps lotus?

As the oil dried and the scent developed more I could feel a depth that made me think of orchids, rich and slightly exotic.

This winds up as a beautiful, gentle, slightly sweet floral. It’s gorgeous!"

In the bottle: This reminds me of Mania. It's got that sweet, bubblegummy scent to it.

On the skin: It improves on the skin, but not as much as Mania did.

An hour later: It's OK, but I'm not blown away by it.

Death

First review1: "First on, the scent is very earthy. From what I can tell, it's a heavy mixture of dark musk, vetivert and earth. Over time it starts to lighten up, becoming less dark but still warthy. Smoother, but not at all sweet. So imagine my surprise when 5 hours later I sniff my wrist and smell traces of sweet flowers among soft, wispy musk and earth. I can't tell exactly exactly what I'm smelling but it's not sweet in a foody, vanilla kind of way, but like small sweet wildflowers you might find growing across a field somwhere. A bit powdery too. This is a very complex scent, morphable, totally capturing the meaning of the death card as a sign of transformation. It started out dark and oppressive, but came out with a sweet new beginning. Amazing."

Second review: "Death goes on with that pencil-shavingish cedar scent, but for some reason it doesn't bother me at all here, as it does in some other oils. The wood notes are dominant at first, but then the smokiness comes forward creating a fantastic blend. It reminds me of having fires on the beach--the sand, the smoke from the fire, the dried-up, sun-bleached driftwood."

In the bottle: Cigarettes and ash.

On the skin: Interesting. This still smells ashy but with something that reminds me of Christmas.

An hour later: Different and it's growing on me - I want to keep this one.

1 Note: I tend to put BPAL on before I hunt reviews.
